Draft for review. This is not live and not in force. It describes how the product is built today; it will be checked by a lawyer and approved by Nexvia before it is published.
Privacy policy
Draft of 28 October 2026
In short
Your books stay on your shop’s main PC, encrypted. Nexvia can’t open them there.
Nexvia keeps your account (name, email, a scrambled form of your password) and the licence record (which PC holds it, and when it last checked in).
Only if you choose them, the relay passes your phone’s and branches’ traffic to your main PC, and the online copy keeps an encrypted copy of a company’s books in India.
We don’t sell data, show ads, or track you across other websites.
What stays on your PC
Each company’s books are one encrypted file on the main PC, with a key held by Windows on that PC. Backups are encrypted too, and open on another PC only with your recovery code.
Counter PCs on the shop network read the books from the main PC over an encrypted connection. They keep no books of their own.
When you give your CA a copy, it is re-locked with a one-time password that only you see.
Your Nexvia account
To hold a licence you create a Nexvia account: your name, email and password. We store the password only as a one-way scrambled form (scrypt), so nobody at Nexvia can read it.
We keep a log of account events (account created, signed in, licence activated, moved or surrendered) so we can answer “why did my licence move?”.
The licence check
When you activate the licence, the main PC sends its own random ID, a public key it made for itself, and the PC name you give it.
After that, the main PC checks in when it starts and every 6 hours. Each check is signed by the PC and carries only its ID and the time. No books, names of customers or amounts are sent.
Counter PCs never contact Nexvia for the licence; they get it from the main PC.
Relay: phone, website and branch access (when you switch it on)
The relay passes traffic between your phone, browser or branch PC and your main PC, so nothing needs opening on your shop’s network. Branch connections are encrypted end to end between the branch PC and the main PC.
The relay doesn’t store your books. Entries made while your main PC drops off wait on our server sealed so only your main PC can open them, and are deleted once it takes them.
Online copy (when you switch it on)
For a company where you choose the online copy, Nexvia keeps an encrypted copy of its books on servers in India, so the website and phone app can show it while the main PC is off.
Our server can open this copy in order to show it to you. Only people you allow can see it in the app; Nexvia staff open it only to help you when you ask.
Switch the online copy off and it stops updating; you can ask us to delete it.
e-Invoice and e-Way bills (when you switch them on)
To make an e-invoice or e-way bill, the bill’s details pass through Nexvia’s server to our GST suvidha provider (WhiteBooks) and on to the government portal.
Your portal login stays on your main PC, sealed, and is sent with each request. Nexvia doesn’t store it or the bill.
Payment QR (when you switch it on)
The money a customer pays goes straight into your own bank or payment account. Nexvia never collects or holds your money.
If you connect your payment account, its keys stay sealed on your main PC.
Where data is kept
Everything Nexvia keeps (accounts, licence records, the optional online copy) is kept in India.
